Protect Idaho Kids Foundation (PIK) announces “PIKnic at the Park”, an event to feed children and their families FREE LUNCHES each Sunday during the Summer.
The program runs for 10 weeks each Sunday from June 28 to August 30th. The lunches are Free to all who attend, both kids and their adults. It would help us if you register because it gives us a count on how many lunches are needed. So, please complete this registration.
Every person attending, including adults, will be given a pre-packaged lunch consisting of a sandwich, fruit, chips, cookie and a fruit drink. Lunches can be taken home or eaten at the park as long as local and national social distancing restrictions are observed.
Besides a free lunch for the whole family and a day at the park, we will hold a drawing for prizes each PIKnic day. At the final PIKnic day, August 30th the prizes will include a boy’s and a girl’s bicycle. Everyone attending the PIKnics each week will get a ticket for the weekly prizes and the bicycle drawing. If you are not going to be there on the last day, fill out your contact information on the back of the ticket and deposit it in the boy’s or girl’s collection basket when you pick up your lunch. On the on the last PIKnic day, August 30th, we will combine all the tickets and draw the name of one boy and one girl to win the bikes.
Tables will be set up at Ann Morrison Park near the Fountain to disperse the food. Enter off Americana Blvd and continue east to the fountain area. We will be located just off the roadway on the South side of the fountain.
We will be complying with all local and national Covid-19 restrictions including social distancing and the REQUIREMENT TO WEAR FACE MASKS. Please bring your facemasks. We will have a limited supply of masks at the event, but if we run out and you do not have one you will not be served.
